Fire Poem by Nicole Gehrman

Fire

Rating: 5.0

Fire burns deep in my eyes.
Anger pulsing through my veins.
Lacing my blood with poison.
As the tears spill down my face,
like acid leaving behind a trail of burnt flesh.
The pain i feel is unbearable,
as it washes over me like the power of lost souls.
I choose my place as the venom of others
rain down all around me.
The light beckons for me to take that one step.
That one step into the darkness of the night.
My breath leaving its mark in the cold night sky.
The vengence becomes my passion
as it burns deep within.
With each heartbeat,
Slowly pounding in my ears till it becomes the only thing i hear.
It grows stronger becoming the only thing i now know.
Haunting my nights and days till it drives me stark raving mad.
Ravens cloud out the bright cool rays of the moon.
Becoming my only connection.
Clouding my vision, leading me on.
Choosing the darkside, becoming what i fear.
Causing me to change,
dying on the inside,
losing who i love.
Pushing me till i'm all alone.

That poem is excelent. You are exploring your dark side and it is telling me that you are far from being perfect, and sends me the message that tells me and everybody else. Don't expect too much of me, I am just a kid growing up.
