Firecrackers Poem by Noel Sevilla

Firecrackers

Firecrackers jump and explode in the air,
announcing the arrival of the moon,
who tired of being stalked
by astronomers with telescopes,
hides in the tent of a magician,
who turns it into a pendant,
worn by a tamer of snakes,
hissing creatures who spit honey
on fallen stars and abandoned babies.
