First Come, First... Eaten. Poem by Konstantin Ananin

First Come, First... Eaten.

Rating: 5.0

First come, first served. (Proverb) .
When angry, count a hundred. (Proverb) .

- It’s dinner-time! Come on in!
I hope you aren’t too lean!
- Am I ‘what’? I don’t understand.
- You’ve come first, Teddy, and
Must be first served too.
- And what are we going to
Eat?
______- A dumpling with you inside.
- Hem! I’d like to be outside.
How can I be eaten
By you or even bitten?
When last Saturday I came, and
We ate minced meat, we became friends.
- But you haven’t been here since
A pig was made into that mince.
I have become very hungry
And angry.
___________- Count a hundred,
It helps to become kind and calm.
What about this rat on my palm?
