First Date Poem by bikram baniya

excitement, shy joy and wondering what to wear.
take an hour or so for a little make up and fix my hair.
i will arrive early properly dressed as each second seems to take a year.
try to look cool and compose, though inside little nervous little fear.

as u walk towards me butterfly in my stomach will fly as high as possible.
i will take few seconds to capture the moment as u will look adorable.
relax, calm and collective somewhere we will sit down.
people talking around us and the music in the background.

i wonder who will start the conversation, will she or should i.
want to say something but words wont come out coz m too shy.
tea for me and a coffee for the lady thats what i will order.
try to start the conversation, make the environment comfortable for her.

i will do my best to make u smile and to c ur face shine.
smiling with happiness knowing that this will be a fantastic time.
we will talk, share some memory, i will crack a joke or two.
by the time u finish your coffee i will give u a gift and surprise you.

it will be time to leave with some great memories placed in heart and mind.
i will see u walk through ur way hoping u will give one look behind.
it's just the start of a new friendship will promise to meet again soon.
get back home, smile and cherish the time spend with u staring at the moon.
