First In, First Served Poem by Kinyua Karanja

First In, First Served

Hey! You! Young man, look
Show some respect to your colleagues,
They too need the service,
Don’t just come and overtake the queues,
They have been here since morning,
Standing patiently to be served,
We’re giving the service till evening
If you queue you will make it,
Wait for your friends to be served
And your turn will come too.
No need to complain for this
Nor cause commotion here,
There are rules and regulations
Written and unwritten laws,
First come, first served.

All are equal before Almighty God then why on earth we do have our preferences based on Colour, Cast, creed, richness, education etc etc? Very well said, FIFO is the best way to follow.

One must not overtake the queue. He or she should be in queue standing patiently to be served, I prefer to be in queue. A didactive poem so nicely envisioned. Many thanks my dear Kinyua, may God increase your poetic thoughts......10

Verily, the one who come first and patiently wait for their turn are to Be served but there are many who don't realize IT.

I am not a fan of crowds or long lines but I am a fan of respect. Nicely written, Kinyua
