First Love

I found love for once in my life
It turns out it was like a knife
It cutted a piece of me
It stole my security
I was sure I won’t do that
But I didn’t knew my first kiss is what I’m going to get

I’ve felt it, I’ve tried it
I used to think, me and love, that doesn’t fit
Now I’m confused
Did I did it because I wasn’t refused?
Was I, am I in love or not?
Whatever it was, on it, now, there’s a dot.

I cried no tears
All it was left are my fears
My love lasted for few days
But in that time it showed me many ways
Ways I did not knew
Ways that never seemed true

I could feel the magic into the night
Although it was dark I could see the light
The shiniest light in his eyes
Light that showed no lies
I could hear his voice in my head
All my feelings suddenly spread

I still remember our first kiss
You can never forget a thing like this
I remember the touch of his lips
His arms on my hips
Him, I will never forget
Not a single second I regret

The dearest hooligan I’ve ever met
He’ll fall in life, I can almost bet
So opposite we are
Our interests so far
And yet we can laugh together
Laugh to his jokes, or else whatever

Since I met him, my life changed
It seems like it was rearranged
I allowed my heart to rule my way
Now it wants for love to stay
Love gave me a moment of joy
But my life isn’t a toy

Now it’s all finished
My love has vanished
He’s still very dear to me
But we could both see
Our love was not supposed to be
And he’s again just a good friend to me

'It is better to love and lost than never to love at all'-it's a quote from someone whose name escapes me at this time. The first love is always confusing especially when mix signals are emitted. But the pathos is where great poems come from.Bittersweet. (Report) Reply

I love to see the old heath's withered brake
Mingle its crimpled leaves with furze and ling,
While the old heron from the lonely lake
Starts slow and flaps its melancholy wing,
