First Regret Poem by Genevieve Surrender

First Regret

Rating: 3.0

An amber regret
looms over me
for the first time
in eternity.

It is warm and soothing
and holds me so
but its hidden adgenda
is kiss and kill.

The only regret
I'll ever have
will not breathe to me
the simplest of words.

you have a fantastic start here, the first stanza was golden, but it goes downhill from there. this needs to be expanded...it has such potential, i hope to see a revision soon. keep writing!
