First Slow Dance Poem by Kelsey Joe

First Slow Dance

You put his arms around his neck
He places his on your hips
and you forget all violence,
You smile as you start to dance
But yet there is a silence.

You feel so right
When you try to look into his eyes
but there's just something about that stare,
Once he looks at you, you look away
Oh so shy and scared.

You're friends yell 'Awh! '
As you turn in slow circles
With your wonderful date,
The song gets intense
And you feel a suspence
It had to have been fate.

You can't help but smile
As you try to start talking
It's just to good to be real,
The song slowly ends
Then a fast song plays
You both release,
And you begin to feel.

Feel happy and glad
For you'll never forget
That one slow song's tune,
you both start to dance
and you let yourself go crazy
Because that dance was the best thing for you
