Five Liners.12.And Still

Rating: 5.0

Once the free denizen of the sky,
The song bird is now in a cage,
Pecking at dry seeds,
Flapping its wings in vain,
But the caged bird still sings!

A cage bird sings songs with sadness which a listener has difficult to understand. A beautiful poem on bird based on philosophy is nicely executed.10

The caged birds luckily do not have large brains to brood over the lost paradise in the skies. Or else their songs would be terrible to listen to.. Are they still singing of a strange joy or chirping out their woes?

Caged bird sings with a melancholy tone which the listener may not recognize. Beautiful five liner.
