Flash Poem by Atticus Mortimer

Flash

And in one instant,
Her whole life was blown away,
The muzzle flash,
the deafening blast,
Her so called lover, flying into the,
cold cold dirt,
She smiled in grim satisfaction,
as their children trembled in fear behind her,
So, she sat down calmly and waited for,
The men in blue,
or the ones in white,
to collect her.
