down a dark road,
you need some light,
having some troubles,
i shine nice and bright.

you can turn to me,
i can turn to you,
its a thing called trust,
its what we have and what we do.

i'll stand by you,
i'll wipe those tears dry,
i'll stand by you,
when you laugh and when you cry.

i'll keep all of your secrets,
you'll keep all of mine,
we really are friends,
i'm here for all time!

tell me what you need,
and i will help you out,
you are not alone,
i'll be by you without a doubt.

so tuen on the flashlight,
i show you the way,
i am the flashlight,
forever and today.
