Flat Tires Poem by Sadiqullah Khan

Flat Tires

Rating: 2.7

The dreamy night
Rain drops down the window
By the fireplace
On a green striped sheet
Wrapped in blanket
Like grizzly bear
On the first ray of sun
And wearing crisp blue lines
French collar shirt
Regimented neck tie lines
Rubbing shoes for the shine
Then
Look at the flat tire
Oops migod
The two nuts stuck
And would not open
Frustration can have further
Limits
Then living on the edge
Falling off the edge
And just now
With four tires
All going flat
I am detailed to attend
Inter ministerial meeting
