Refugee - where have you been?
What was the reason you travelled here in?
Did war and violence killed your child´s?
Was your house destroyed by weapons?
Are all your dreams to live here is going bad to happen?
Did your fears rob your sleepless nights? ´
Which way you took with others alive?
Had you spend all your property to smuggling gangs?
How many died through drowning,
not reaching the safe shore or a helping hand?
How many have been looked up in a reception camp?
Did your neighbours were send back to war?
Could you enter the boundary fence like others before?
How long did it take for you to come here?
What is your profession you will live from and rear?
Did someone helped you and gave you a rest?
Where will you live, what is now for you the best?
So many questions and we don´t have your answers -
but here you are welcome - believe this hopefully by chance
and don´t let wear down your walk
you have recourse to us and now we are here to help
take our hands, all refugees, please
but stand up for yourselves.
