Flower 4 - The Radiant Red Rose - Sonnet
Radiant red rose so fine,
Like the irresistible sparkling wine,
Reigning as the queen of secret passion,
Love's bright iridescent expression!
Petals kissed by silky mermaids,
So soft like the cheeks of rosy milkmaids,
Protected by sharp thorny stems,
Seductive petals that embrace the lacy helms!
Rose red -a flower of poignant love,
Rose royal -a charming sign of undying love,
Rose garlands that unite couples in holy matrimony,
Rose wreaths that bid farewell at a funeral ceremony!
O! Radiant Rose! Thou art the symbol of perfect love,
O! But, i am afraid of your stinging thorns of fiery love!
Rose is the queen of flowers with its inimitable beauty and mild fragrance! Red rose symbolizes love! You have captured the full beauty of this flower in your poem, Geeta O! But, i am afraid of your stinging thorns of fiery love! ....... Love this line! The sting of love is fierce...! Beautiful sonnet!
