Flowers Galore Poem by Matthew Foor

Flowers Galore

A vibrant sun
Soaking a landscape
Of rolling plains
And the greenest of hills

Flowers galore give salute
To the rising sun
And to the setting sun
Flooding dreamlike skies
With pink power

Rays reach out
Kissing silk petals
Flowers huddled
A crowd of scented color
Frozen in ink
Frozen in time

Nature's nirvana
Brings life to
The sky
Shifting color
Pink to purple
And back to pink again

Flowers speak in whispers
Swaying in the sweet scented breeze

Only dreams
Can bring this landscape
Freezing the sun at half mass

Stamens release their pollen
Creating more beauty
Along the hillside
More
Purples
Pinks
Yellows
Reds
This fantasy of flowers
And painted pink skies
Will never change
Visit when you like
When you need an escape
