Fluke Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Fluke

A successful stroke of luck?
Bestowed upon someone...
Who is both surprised and amazed,
By a sudden fuss stirred up?

Oh. Is that what that is?

Perhaps that would be true...
For those finding something new,
To chew on or 'seep' to brew about!
However...
What is being witnessed here,
Is far from the definition of a fluke!
This 'fluke' has been in preparation...
For many, many, many years!

A lifetime spent in spinning 'flukeness'
To perfection!
And that is why the attention,
Does not excite the one who has sacrificed!

See that blood on the trail?
To whom do you think it belongs?

Fluke my...
Aspirations!
