Today for you the sun may shine
but I lay in the dark of my mind,
as I now know your no longer mine
I took you for the taking
and took you for as long as I could
knowing now, I no longer could
You appeared as if covered by an unconditional love
as graceful as a dove
It appeared to me on this gracefull day
I'd let you fly away
