Fly Paper Poem by Ray William Roldan

Fly Paper

Rating: 5.0

Now there I was
standin' in the hall,
from another perspective
a fly on the wall!

I was chillin' with the
masters of the house,
Cockroach, Rat, Black
widow and Mouse!

Then two humans come in
and make them selves at home,
she looked at him and said
'are we alone'!

You see! I get a bad rap
for bein' a fly on the wall,
But there was never a time
when I told all!

Now they chase me down
cause I buzz the lite,
so I just wait until they
fall to sleep late at night!

It's kind of hard
to be a fly on the wall,
I'm not complainin'
just explain' that's all!

People seem to look
with total disdain,
then they roll up the paper
and deliver the pain!

I've lost a lot of friends
to their anti-fly way's,
to the swatters and papers
and the insecticide craze!

So I wonder if he hates me
cause I'm different from him,
or maybe just afraid
I'll tell all his sin!
