Follow Ever After - Poem by Violet Carson

Don’t Follow me
My tatterered soul
Falls into darkness
Blackest darkness
Deep and thick
No light shines
Through my despair

Don’t Follow me
I run in fear
That my demons follow
Always follow
I run away, to escape
But still
They find me there

Don’t Follow Me
For where I go
No-one can come
I go alone
To meet my fate
I’ll stand alone
At Death’s Black Gate

Don’t Follow Me
My fate is sealed
My sins are falling
Falling down
Blackest tears
In which I drown
Engulfing me in darkness

Don’t Follow Me
I can’t be saved
For its too late
Far, far too late
You can’t help me
You can’t find me
I’m already gone

Don’t Follow Me
Don’t Follow Me
For I’m already gone
