Come alive
Allow me to believe
Watch the clouds
As they begin to seethe
With blood red rain
No breath
All lost here and
Drowning in fire
In this land
I’ll bury my heart
Under the sand
Return to me

Burn the banners
Dim the lights
No one will sleep tonight
Blame the one who casts
Only a shadow
Hide away
You hide away

Swallow it down
Curse the night sky
You taught me to run
I taught you to lie
With hesitant shame
No clarity
All secrets nonexistent
On white walls burned
In this land
I’ll bury my heart
Under the sand
Return to me
