Food For The Spirit Poem by Jimmy L. Lyons

Food For The Spirit

Rating: 5.0

Blessed be the Lord God;
my lips shall greatly rejoice.
When I sing to you, I will sing with the harp.
My tongue shall also speak of your righteousness
all the day long.
Like showers that water the earth,
I have put my trust in the Lord God.

You have prepared the light and the sun;
you have made summer and winter,
and our path is in the great waters.
Sing aloud to God our Strength
with the pleasant harp and the lute.

How lovely is your tabernacle.
I will praise you, oh Lord, with all my heart
and I will glorify your name.
For great is your mercy toward me.
Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound,
for you are the glory of their strength.
Let go, and let God, and be blessed.
