Food is not for the belly
only
food is for the brain and
then the brain eschews
the earth its flowers opens at
the dawn
and the sun lights the humans'
ways
alas! that so oft breaks the
day
alas! that sunset and red dusk
so often cry
and sigh for night to come fast
and remain
