For All I Know Poem by Rosa Lin

For All I Know

You’re always smiling
No matter what goes wrong
You’re always ready
To move right along
You forgive and forget
In a flick of a light
Even when it’s horrible
Like a huge, massive fight
You say you love me
And care so much
It’s not my fault I believe you
It’s your scent and your touch
But for all I know you
Could be lying to me
Faking your smile
And not wanting to be
For all I know
You might be cheating
Pretending to be faithful
But truthfully deceiving
Yet you laugh like nothing’s wrong
Kiss me without a fear
Hold me closely
And never shed a tear
But then again..
For all I know…
I don’t know.

People can be very convincing even when they're lying. That's for sure.
