For Cindy Poem by M.Dean Everett

For Cindy

The season's first frost
clashed with her innocence...

The innocence shown in dark brown eyes.
That night I heard the wind cry for her.

...and I cry now
the wind cries...
and I cry.

I see her innocence smiling in the night sky.
Under the sky, I wonder why...why not I?

I wish for her friendly embrace...once more...forever
Only to have her Mother's tear on my shoulder
on the rainy afternoon.

...But we shall meet again.
I will embrace her once more...
forever...soon.

I heard the wind cry for Cindy...
The wind cries for Cindy.
We all cry for Cindy.
...for Cindy
