For Conrad Poem by Robert Mutsaers

For Conrad

I am a boy,
Love my dad, then he ignored,
My decoy button women adored.

What can I say or do,
Am at sway a boy with no clue,
I wear a button of the male and hope,
To become real a man in love and scope.

I am a male,
Love my father, then he got bored,
A boy pale on a reason he caught.

What can I give or hold,
Am to live a male with no mold,
I wear the sweater of a boy and pretend,
To become real a man in play and home-sent.

I am a male,
Love my mum, then she divorced,
A dad stale upon the explored.

What can I think or grief,
Am to link a male with my mischief,
I wear the ribbon of a mother and believe,
To become real a father for life and achieve.

I am a boy,
Love my mother, then she rewarded,
A boy-male on a season he brought.
