For Granted Poem by Walterrean Salley

For Granted

Rating: 5.0

We so often take for granted
The little things in life,
Traveling the carefree road—
No sickness, pain nor stride.

Selfishly enjoying the things
We really like to do.
Never once a thought to share
The generous part of you.

Neglecting to be grateful
For abilities we use;
And so, through ungratefulness
The blessings that we lose.

Let us cease to take for granted
The Father’s precious love,
And His tender mercies,
Which are blessings from above.
