For I Am Poem by Corvette Nezumi Mikazuki

For I Am

All alone in the dark
"can you hear me? "
All I see is those who are damned
"you can see me? "
Some ponder
I smile and nod
My friend emerges from the shadows
A devilish smirk on my face
They tremble in fear

I smile at those who wish to come near
"closer, my child"
I say to them as they enter my domain
I give them what they deserve
"do not belittle me"
I am a loyal friend
I have no gain from your pain

A child is near
"help me please! "
She screams in agony
I shake my head in pity of her
She should have just been loyal
"I meant nothing but the best"
They say once they know you've found out
Why should I stand up for you, when you just walked away from me?

Later, she tries once more
I smirk at her foolish attempts
"…"
She tries to be sneaky
She tries to hide
She cannot come near me, for I am her god
My friend emerges from the shadows once more
The only loyal person I've ever known
He's standing beside me, just as you know.
Don't beg for mercy,
You cannot hide
You should have thought of that before you tanned your own hide
