Oh my love you are an island, in this stormy sea of life
An ever ending source of comfort, through the anger and the strife
And my love you stand beside me, helping me when I am lost
As a beacon guides the sailor, though the ship be pitched and tossed.

When my heart is full and heavy, you are always by my side
And my eyes are dim and weary, you will always let me hide
In the warmth of your emotion, safe and solid as a stone
You are just the best in life, the gentlest peace i've ever known.

Though the words are slow in coming and are sometimes left behind
They travel like a mighty river, in my heart and in my mind
Sometimes surging like the torrent, sometimes trickling like the stream,
In my waking hours of torment....in my peacefull sea of dreams

Always they will give me comfort, though the mist obscures the view
Written in my heart with feeling...all I am I owe to you.
