For Love Gone Sour Poem by Francis Duggan

For Love Gone Sour

My ex as she describes him she does hate
And she says bad karma for himself he does create
Though she once loved him and he fathered her son
Hate is love turned upside down when all is said and done.

Their similar personalities of their marriage did take toll
'Twould seem that they were both vying for control
And angry words were exchanged night and day
And love to hatred was soon to give way.

Her ex used to call her his blooming rose
But attitudes have changed that's life one must suppose
And when love goes sour hatred does often grow
And each other now they do not wish to know.

She speaks of her ex with anger in her voice
And for love gone sour some pay a bitter price
They vyed for control but control neither could gain
And between them only bitterness remain.
