For My Children Poem by T.J. Daniels

For My Children

Rating: 5.0

I was not the perfect father
but you became great adults

inspite of that.

I am very proud of you
and every one of your
tremendous accomplishments.

When I look back
and see the mistakes
that I made

I have many times wished
that I was able to go back
and correct them.

But time is very unforgiving
in that it will never allow that.

I can only thank
The Good Lord and you.

That you became the Beautiful People
that you've become.

I LOVE YOU! !

Dad

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

True love is such a great thing that it grows strong even without anything in return. Your children are fortunate to have a loving dad. Thanks for sharing a nice verse.

Heartfelt thoughts coming from a very loving and caring father. You give your children a wonderful tribute, letting them know how proud you are of them. You respect them by telling them that you were not a perfect father and none of us are perfect people, we all make mistakes. Any man that can admit his mistakes to his children is certainly a real man, I admire you for that, and I'm glad you told them before it was too late. This is a treasure of a poem T.J.--Melvina--
