You have changed
So have I
Time has carved
A gaunt profile

Are we wiser
Or just bitter
If we try harder
Can we clean up
This litter

I don't pretend
Broom stick in my hand
Trying my best, cleaning up
This mess
But the dust from my past
Breaks all trusts, settles fast

No more do
I want to live for tomorrow
All that I want
Is to forget our sorrows

When heart carries
Too many hurts
There is no time
For us to unearth

Scabs and scars
Forever they will last
But beyond this facade
Does still lie a loving heart
