For My Mother On Mother's Day Poem by Sydney Giardella

For My Mother On Mother's Day

Hey Mom,
I just want to say
That this mothers day
I don't have a fancy necklace
But I will try me best to be a little less reckless
I don't have any fancy flowers
That have a wonderful smell that overpowers
Heck, I don't even have a card
Nor did I attempt to at least help clean up the yard
So yes, I apologize
For all the times you've agonized
For all of my ridiculousness
For my lack of being more meticulous
For my whining, crying, and complaining
I realize now that I am quite constraining
I will never know how to properly appreciate
All the great sacrifices that you make
Just so that I can make good choices
Just so that I can tune out the sinful voices
Just so that I can grow up to be
Hopefully a woman, just as wonderfully amazing as thee
Happy Mother's Day to a beautiful soul
To achieve your bravery, care, and beauty is my biggest goal
I love you mom, with all of my heart
Come here, so I can hug you
And squeeze you until you fart
