Each day I get stronger
This depression won't last any longer
For once I'm not scared to be
What everyone doesn't want me to be
But all I am is me!
If they don't understand that
Then they can just leave like that
I don't care!
Not like I need your approval
You are just a removal
And I don't care what you have to share
Make fun of me
Stand there and laugh at me
Doesn't make you a better person inside
Makes you a jerk on the outside
So you see me walk down the street
While I got combat boots on my feet
While I'm wearing black in this heat
Just look the other way
I don't care what you have to say today
Or any other day.
I used to let people get me down
I'd give them the satisfaction of making me frown
I even let the whole town
Take me down
But not today
This is where I stand up for me!
So listen I'm going to be okay
For once in my life I'm not scared to be me!
