Waltzing Mouse

For Poppy

Can you hear her?
I can
She’s the soft whisper of the distant wind
She’s that hidden treasure you can never find
She’s the ice glinting in winter snow drifts
She’s the sun when the fog lifts
She’s the wild stallion, running free
She’s the relentless, tempestuous sea
She’s the nightingale’s sweet melody
She’s the humming bumble bee
She’s everywhere
She’s nowhere
Can you hear her?
I can.

Away, or even remember Chang'an. By now,
