For The Death Of A Friend Poem by Richard Goolsby

For The Death Of A Friend

Rating: 3.0

Dani you are in the hearts of many,
A true friend that's hard to find,
You have many qualities,
That no one could of out shined!

You have that beautiful smile,
That could light up any room,
Take away the darkness,
And burn away the gloom.

Truly caring compassionate,
Qualities of a cherished friend,
With your heart of gold,
And a love with no end.

You will be missed by many,
As u spread your wings and fly,
Soring as a sparrow,
Watching over us from the sky.

Dani you are forever in our hearts,
As you go to a special place,
We will cherish you forever,
As God showers you with merciful Grace!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I was told a friend had died. But later found out they hadn't.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Ryan Walker 28 August 2012

It's rough... but it certainly has potential in the lines... Personally, I find rhyme without metre to be a bit cumbersome, but it's an interesting topic... it just seems a bit rough. Which is nothing bad, considering you have a good start.
