For The Ones I’ve Lost Poem by Esraa Saad (Troubled Soul)

For The Ones I’ve Lost

I dedicate these words for the ones I’ve lost
Please forgive me if I caused you any pain
We held on to each other and together we fought
What we fought for poured down the drain
Where did we go wrong “just a thought”
Comes to mind wondering who’s to blame
In moments of weakness I miss you a lot
Pride tells me can you handle the shame
I forgive you after all but I can not
Continue walking through this loss lane
Words and knives leave a deep slot
Even if hurt was not the aim
I am not immune to gunshots
Sneak out the back out of this game
In low games I will not take part
Picture cleared when I left the frame
Great life lessons are harshly taught
Ironic how I only find my way in the rain
I want you to know I forgave and I forgot
I wish you would do the same

I can identify with what you say and have experienced. Even when there is no blame we must live with regrets and mised opportunities.

A powerful write, about the ones you lost! As you certainly showed, what it has cost! May the future, be kinder to you and somehow, shed some light. Then life, will take on a new meaning and all, will become, bright!
