People see each other every day.
Why do we not notice?
We see the strong
We see the courageous.
We see the loud
We see the popular
We see the ugly.
We see the Fake.
Why do we not see
The ones that need our help?
We do not see the weak.
We do not see the helpless.
We do not see the depressed.
We do not see the lonely.
We do not see the abused.
Why do we not notice?
Is it because they don't want our help,
Because they think they're better?
No, we do not see them
Because we do not care.
Though, there are the select few,
A very low number,
That smell,
That taste,
That touch,
That hear,
That see,
The ones who can love
More than anyone can imagine.
Because they are strong,
They are courageous,
They are loyal,
They are determined,
And they are gentle
And patient,
Forever waiting for
The right person
Who will see them
For who they are.
The good.
