For You Poem by Joshua Francis Belicano

For You

It all started with a meeting.
The first time I saw you smiling
Captured my heart which was shattered.
You fixed my fallen pieces that're scattered.

We admired and liked each other
Yes! We then loved one another.
A love I never felt again
After two years passed way back then.

Yet one thing I didn't understand,
Why did you loosen the grip of your hand?
Why did you say you're tired of us?
"I don't know" is not an answer for both us.

You promised me not to yield, and it's not too late
To retrieve what you said and a promise to recreate.
My Christmas isn't Christmas if there's no you,
I know you still love me, so don't say we're no longer M.U.

All these words I writ' came from my whole heart, then
With all the tears I have, this poem I still continued to pen
For you to know the one man who truly loves you and
For you to love this man over and over again.
