For You Poem by Randy McClave

For You

For you I will always say a prayer
For you I truly do care,
And unto you this I will tell
I do not want you going to hell.

I do not want you to burn in that flame
I could not accept that guilt or blame,
Love and peace I want to feel and know
And not that of a ambers red fiery glow.
I do not want you to die in your sin
And I don't want you to hurt ever again,
I swear to you I'll do all that I can
So, that hell is not your destined plan.
I once tried taking you to church
But, upon it and me you did smirch,
So, I bought you and your children Bibles to read
But, that desire and want you did not heed.
What else am I to say or do
As I pray to God constantly for a clue
My truest and only desire
Is for you not to ever burn in Hell's fire.

I will not ever give up on your soul
Your salvation and final destination is my true goal,
I will always fight for you both tooth and nail;
I'll even hold onto your legs, so you don't go to hell.
