For Your Repudiation Poem by Rajesh Thankappan

For Your Repudiation

Rating: 4.5

You led me through those arid paths
Into the Elysian realms of love
Your hands in mine; you lent,
So how can you claim you are innocent?

Heavenly muse of love I heard
Breeze through your ruby lips;
I listened and first held them untrue!
So, why now say you are innocent?

Your warmth in closeness I felt
I sensed the sweetness of your breath;
Did not our feelings then together chime?
So say not, say not you are innocent!

You say all those were my wayward dreams
That had seduced me away in my sleep,
But still for my dreams you are the cream
Say not; say not, you are innocent!

A poem of ardent feelings of love in a half rebuking tone of endearment for playing a 'hide and seek game'! Really enjoyed reading it!
