Forbidden Love Poem by Samantha Belsey

Forbidden Love

You are out of reach
my long arms stretch but
never grasp.
Childlike on tiptoes
desperate to taste
forbidden treats.

You are not for me
my wasted heart can ache
but never have
cupids arrows missed
foolish to mourn
a misguided motility.

You could have me
in my entirety.
Change the arrows course
Charge your heart with
love, with passion
and kiss me.
