Forever Poem by Raven Keller

Forever

Rating: 4.3

As black feathers fall,
Awash with the scent of decay.
As blood deliquesces in ice,
Angels have fled to darkers days.

From the pyre,
Alight with the aura of chaos.
In this darkened hour,
Tainted blood courses through tainted veins.

The wings paid for by the falling of doves.
Slipping between the cracks, the reaper of oblivion masked.
The tree of the damned feeds of victims of the siren.
The labyrinth replaces the staircase to heaven.
