Every night I fall asleep
and all I see is you

We're holding hands and you understand
everything I've ever wanted to tell you

We're on the beach and the sun sets
and I think about the day we first met

You told me a story and you made me smile
and I thought you were cute so I knew we'd be friends
for a while

But my alarm clock goes off and I tell myself it
was just a dream
But thats not at all what it seemed

I see you later we laugh and talk its a normal
day then we go for a walk

It starts getting late so you say goodnight
and give me a hug
You're so far from a gangsta or a thug

We're just friends so I should hold back
But I wanna love you and I cant stop that

Just friends thats it; never together
So if I can only have you in my dreams
then let me sleep forever
