Forever, My Love Poem by Jewell Castro

Forever, My Love

As I sit here, alone in my sadness, I am
wondering how I'll live without you
when I feel so lost and empty inside
I know that never again will I hold you
in my arms but I will never
be able to tear you from my heart
It will be your face I see on
the pages of the book I am reading
your voice I hear in a rustling wind
your arms I long for in the empty bed
where I will sleep, forever alone
Don't be mad if I keep you within
my empty heart, for all time
Listen for the voice in the wind
It is mine, whispering my love to you
You are now and will be my love
of yesterday, today and forever, my love
