Forever Young Poem by Edwina Reizer

Forever Young

Like a toddler running there,
running, running everywhere,
it's hard for them to walk or pace
for a toddler's life is one big race.

Do you think that you can run and run
now that you are eighty-one?
It's impossible for you to do
but your youth is never through.

For in our hearts there's a memory that lasts
of when we ran just as fast.
So as we think back to those days
our youth comes back in many ways.

We see a child run and smile
and visualize and feel the mile
that never seemed to far to go
and even though our pace is slow

in our hearts we're forever young.
