Forget and Do

Do what you say you do,
It's what you do
When you say-
It's what you do
Unless
You meant what you do is
what you did,
Making use of your past,
As a shield and a mask,
Lurking in your own mess,
Like some persistent pest,
No need to pretend,
Just do and forget.
