Forget Me Not Poem by Emma Alberts

Forget Me Not

A patch of forget me nots
Lay on the battlefield
Showing each solider
That fought and died
And reminding their family
To forget me not

(I almost put this one into a poetry contest)

(Fall 2008, Age 11, Door County, Wisconsin)

There alot of unsaid words in this poem but sometimes the unsaid words mean more than the words said.
