Forgive The Tide Poem by Sondra Seguin

Forgive The Tide

Forgive the tide for carrying you away
Off to sea; you shall not return
Here on land we will stay
While death has taken your turn

Off to sea you shall not return
Cold water wets your hair
While death has taken your turn
Your glassy eyes are locked in a distant stare

Cold water wets your hair
They'll never find you where you are
Your glassy eyes are locked in a distant stare
But forever you'll stay in my heart

They'll never find you where you are
Here on land we will stay
But forever you'll stay in my heart
Forgive the tide for carrying you away
