Forgotten

Rating: 5.0

Dry corn fields
Wind blows gentle kisses
Droplets grace each blade
While the light sinks at dusk
A picture which is forsaken

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem was written when I was about fourteen. The sun was setting after a long day working on a family friend's farm and I was overlooking the horizon. I was simply drawn to write it.

Fourteen? Just a stripling but already a fine poet. Now this is poetry and very beautiful. Two contrasting works which will have one thing in common. A ten from me. Tom Billsborough

Well, coming from a 'corn country' myself, I can say this one strikes a bit of a chord. The fact that you wrote it over ten years ago is noteworthy as well. Welcome to PH Chelsea. Thanks for sharing

Thank you and it's my pleasure! I'm happy to come across country kin. This is part of a set of poems when I first began writing. I will post more in the morning. :)
