Forgotten Poem by Jessica Goudreault

Forgotten

Goodbye to the life I wished to redeem
It’ll never go back to what I thought it could be
I’m sorry I couldn’t take a small amount of your time
I didn’t think you would mind
I’m tired of trying to set a date
For a time that you can never make

I wish you could’ve helped
I could’ve used your guidance
But all you’ve ever done is take away my innocence
My chances are ruined
They’ve been taken apart
Of course you’re not the one to blame
I never expected you would have actually came
You never should have given me hope to begin with
I knew it would just end up like this

Though we are the same person
We have different hearts
I would have gone for you
Regardless of how far
